New Toy: LED FlashlightI just purchased a new LED flashlight that is amazingly bright. It uses 4 C cells and is almost as bright as my old 1 million candlepower 12v halogen spotlight. The flashlight is $28.55 with free shipping from Hong Kong. It was shipped via Hong Kong Mail and arrived in 6 days. Foreign mail probably comes into Boston via air, and Boston is only 1 delivery day from here, so your mileage may vary.http://dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6411 They also have a really nice AA 2 cell flashlight that is $18.43 and is probably equally as bright as the one I purchased. Of course the 4 cell light will run for hours longer.http://dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6131 I bet that these lights would cost 2 to 5 times as much if purchased here in the states. I think they could be classified as “tactical lights” as they are bright enough to blind an adversary. Most tactical lights use special (and expensive) batteries, but these two flashlights use standard AA and C cells. The improvement in light output compared to my first LED flashlight from a few years ago is amazing!
